Hey guys, I've been kind of busy lately (papers... midterms.. still not done!) so I've been kind of neglecting translations, I apologise for that. Here's a short new article that came up on ThisIsGame discussing a new zone called South Rakhan; it may not say much, but it might give you an insight into what kind of content we can expect as the game progresses.

디스이즈 게임에서는 베일에 쌓여있던 아이온의 그 숨겨진 지역 'South Rakhan'을 공개한다. 이 지역은 아이온의 전체 맵에는 등장하지 않는 장소로서 한 장의 지도와 전체 월드맵만이 공개돼있다.
ThisIsGame presents the hidden zone 'South Rakhan', a location that does not show up in the overall view. Only a small regional map has been revealed of this region.

눈치가 빠른 유저들이라면 알아차렸을 지도 모르겠지만, 이곳은 지난 2006년도 E3에서 아이온이 처음 공개됐을 때 선보인 바로 그 지역이다.
Observant readers may have noticed that this is the same zone that was revealed back in 2006 at E3, when Aion was unveiled for the first time.


라한은 티제리드 공중 요새와 우르다 유적에서 시작되는 지역으로 약 20분정도면, 클리어할 수 있는 아주 '작은' 지역이다. 이 지역에서는 죽음의 사막을 거쳐 크랄의 본거지인 투르시낙스에 진입하는 과정과 어비스 게이트 안에 숨어든 대족장 산두카를 쓰러뜨린 후 지금은 폐허가 되었지만, 과거에는 평온했던 투르시낙스를 돌이켜 보는 과정이 담겨있다.

South Rakhan is a very 'tiny' zone that can be cleared in about 20 minutes, with the starting points in Tizerid Sky Fortress and Urdah Ruins. Players can infiltrate the Krall Outpost through the Death Valley, and upon defeating Grand Chief Sanduka hiding in the Abyssal Gate, players are shown a brief flashback into the peaceful past of what is now the ruins that harbor the Krall Outpost.




더불어 천족(당시 천인)의 뒤를 따라다니는 미지의 캐릭터가 등장하는 컷 신 역시 눈여겨 볼 법한 부분이다. 눈에 빨간 빛이 감도는 것을 봐서 이는 현재의 마족을 나타내려 한 것이 아닐까 예상되기도 하고 스토리상 마족이 천족으로 둔갑하였을 것도 추측 된다.
It's worth noting of the NPC that follows the player around as shown in the cutscene. Judging from the glowing red eyes, it may have been an earlier representation of the Asmodians, or could have been an Asmodian disguised as an Elyos lore-wise.


아직까지는 이 라한 지역이 실제 아이온의 어떤 부분에 등장할 지는 알 수 없다. 다만 E3 버전의 지도와 전체맵이 아직까지 게임 내에 들어가 있는 것을 봤을 때 이를 활용한 새로운 컨텐츠가 어떠한 방식으로든 나올 가능성이 매우 높을 것으로 예상 된다.
At the moment, it's difficult to determine when the zone will be introduced in terms of game progress. Seeing how the E3 version of the map and the world map are still included in the game though, it's very likely that we'll be seeing new content including the zone very soon.
