In 2 months, i follow through with a dream delivering plan that was put into place 4 years ago.
I'm going back to college.
That's right. 28 years old, and i'm finally going back.
It's a decision that doesn't come lightly, and one that comes with alot of changes.
The biggest change will be the move. from GA to NC. I'm glad to finally be leaving Atlanta, and Charlotte is beautiful, and just now starting to develop. Job market is better and housing is stupid cheap (compared to atl).
So yea, college... that's happening. For what?
Bachelor in Science... Game design. Technically ill be going for an AiS first, become a citizen, then apply for state grants, and THEN finish my BS.
I love games... hard. Every game a play has things i love, and things i hate...things i think were overdone, or not done enough. I want the opportunity to make the games that i would play. This is my chance to finally do that.
So, 2 months... we will see how this whole thing pans out.

gz mate, that used to be my dream as well but after diving in to Visual Basic (the easiest programming language) I realised I don't have the patience to be a developer. So I'm doing IT support instead lol

haha, well, i decided to give vb a whirl, made a nifty little all-in-one app for our table top. I love the meticulous part of that stuff... the little details and such. Funny that you went into IT support because you dont have the patience.my best friend is going into IT development because he doesnt have the patience for support anymore, haha.

I am a game developer. If you are really serious about game development then you should really be doing C/C++. Though you said design which in that case I would work on a English major or something. Most designers have not done any engineering. They mostly make very long word documents ><
