[Even if my main is an Asmodian on Perento, I decided to write the story of Kimie, my ranger on Telemachus because I got more inspired by her.
This is the first time I write in English and I'm quite sure the text will be full of mistakes. I hope you will enjoy this humble work made by a beginner!]
Kimie's Story

1. Rising From Theobomos Ashes
“Nobody cares about Theobomos” was what Kimie was thinking while bending over looking for seashells “I bet this damn land has been forgotten by Aion himself”.
That day a sandstorm was raging through Southern Latheron Coast, where Kimie was born, so the search was almost unbearable, as it wasn’t hard enough in normal conditions.
“We’ve been forgotten by everybody… I wonder if I’m doomed to live in here until the end of my days”. This question tormented Kimie’s mind since the day she started having self-consciousness.
Since she was a child, her life has been totally devoted to the search and the selling of salt crystals, pearls, mythril and orichalcum ores and all the small products the wasteland of Theobomos could offer.
This commerce were the only means of support of her family…After Fregion’s coming, Theobomos was completely ravaged by Balaurs and both humans and animals had to struggle for a daily surviving.

There was no chance of farming or cultivating anything, the ground was simply too dry and infertile for giving birth to crops. Animals like porguses and qooqoos couldn’t gain weight and they were often not even healthy. There were no big cities and not even villages… The remnants of the once proud and noble Theobomans now gathered shyly in small built-up areas of huts and cabins spread in the most remote and hidden corners of the region.
Hunger, diseases and a never ending-heat were burning the last survivors, who could rely only on the idle trading of the dried-up ocean products.
The young Kimie was one of the last Theobomans who survived Fregion’s cataclysm, even though she was born after it, she had never known the splendour and glory of Theobomos, which was a nest of learning and prosperity.
Sanctum’s attention was focused primarily on the battle against Balaurs and Asmodians in the Abyss and Balaurea. There were almost no volunteers intentioned to bring supplies, provisions and concrete help in the barren region. Theobomos was completely left on its own.
Ironically, the ancient fight for Elysea’s supremacy was the last concern in Theobomans lives.
The day was turning into its end and Kimie had to hand in the seashells and dried oysters which she has gathered since the early morning. She went across the vaporized sea bed, seething with aggressive and desperate animals like Sea Rynoces, starving Karnifs and Tipolids which were almost crazy due to the parching thirst. Kimie had no fear for them because they were too busy gathering around small pools, fighting each other for the right of drinking first. The only tool she was given to defend herself with was just an old bow made from the common material of Egrasi wood, her only way of getting rid of those fierce and mad creatures.
As the sun was slowly setting, touching lightly the line of the horizon, the young girl finally reached the Observatory Village. That place was a matching point for traders and merchants of all sorts, which were mostly greedy Shugos. There were just a few humans who were charged of protecting the area using rusty old weapons since no one had materials for forging new ones.
She couldn’t calculate the amount of salt crystals which passed everyday in her hands… Unfortunately, Chaochenrinerk, the Shugo she used to trade materials with, didn’t pay the same weight of the salt crystals in Kinah.
Seeing just a few coins falling down in her hand for a hard working day in a dangerous habitat made her wonder once again the meaning of her existence. She felt her life was heavily exploited by that furry, long-tailed creature, who certainly would have sold those precious products to the customers for about 20-30 times Kimie’s salary.

At the close of the evening she finally reached Port Anangke, the last frontier of civilization where she and her brother Anakha and their old mother shared a humble thatched hut as their residence. Since when the port was reduced to a pile of rubble, that place became home to vagrants, hunters, thieves and of course merchants. You couldn’t say it was a safe place though, since it was constantly threatened by the presence Nagolem, Petrahulk and Caryatids which were wandering restlessly around the site.
Time taught the residents how to keep them under restraint and far away from the humans.
Port Anangke

The only sensation she could clearly feel after that exhausting day was the redness and the soreness and the sheer salty soddenness of her fingers. The smell of a tasty Cellatu fin soup cooked by her mother cheered her mood as she crossed home’s threshold. Her brother was sitting on a stool being deep in shelling a Coastal Lobsek with a sharp prising knife. When he noticed her presence he smiled in her direction, taking a break from his work.
“Hey Kimie, guess what? They hired me at Meniherk Excavation Camp as a miner. Finally I will escape from this damn salty tomb!” his excited eyes shined like the liquor coming out from the juicy lump of flesh of the Lobsek.
“That’s awesome, Anakha! Congratulations for your new job… I can’t deny I envy you so much” replied Kimie while taking a seat near the wooden table where the dinner was about to be served.
“I will gain at least 1000 kinah per week! Can you believe it? I will probably work all day long but at least I won’t have to face the danger of those hungry creatures in Alisary and Latheron coast…”
“That will be great honey!” said their mother while filling the bowls with hot soup “I won’t be constantly worried for your life everyday, praying for you to come back home”.
The woman approached the boy and kissed his head, proud that her son has finally found a respectable and safe job.
Kimie and Anakha

Kimie knew that her brother deserved that opportunity. He worked very hard since the early childhood, skipping school exactly like her for entering directly in the adult world of working, trading and selling. Actually it was not a matter of “skipping school” since there were no schools in Theobomos. Nevertheless, Sanctum was too far away and the subscriptions to its institutes were way too high. Anakha would have started a new life. The young girl wondered once again if such a blessing would have happened to her as well… That was exactly the kind of unpredicted gift all Theobomans were waiting for. She felt a little ashamed when she realized the envy was prevailing over the feeling of happiness for her brother.
“There are some news for you too, Kimie” added her mother after a few seconds, preventing that the girl’s mood would have become gloomy again “Lady Jamanok asked about you. She wants to meet you tomorrow in her Inn.” Her mother grinned and spilled the Cellatu fin soup into Kimie’s basin.
The young girl rolled her eyes, stunned. She couldn’t believe that Lady Jamanok, the richest woman of all Theobomos, wanted to meet a humble young gatherer with no experience in anything except surviving. What was the purpose of this meeting? She couldn’t figure out anything she had that could have been subject of interest of such a high class business lady like Jamanok. Her Inn was settled on a high pinnacle in the northern part of Theobomos. Her hospitality was famous all over Elysea, she used to provide housing to Daevas from everywhere. Some even dare say Empyrean Lords sought shelter in her comfortable rooms while venturing by. Jamanok’s name itself was a byword of fame and wealthiness.
The night fell on the ashes of the burning region, refreshing the ground, the wastelands, and the rocky mountain ranges, giving all the creatures some respite from the sultry weather.
Kimie consumed her meal quickly and lied down without talking very much… She was too excited and started guessing what would have happened to her the incoming day. Something new came into her existence, shaken up by Jamanok’s calling.
