My scout just turned assasin recently, so I can't speak for a lot for assasin atm, It's a fun class however and if you play it right and choose the right gears to wear it'll be great to play. I highly doubt it'll be as inbalanced as WoW currently is, since NCSoft's spending a lot of time to test and fix things before they finally release it.

Lol as of now there are only two weapons that assasins can choose to dualwield, sword and dagger. Sword swings slightly slower, has less crit, but more parry. Dagger swings slightly faster, has more crit, but less parry. I'm one of those ppl that are obsessed about fast crits so I chose dagger lol >.>.
So far, up to lvl 12 (13 = new skills but I didn't go train yet ^^;

I have swift attack (front slash), backslash (combo available after slash), a skill that's similar to tiger's fury for druids on WoW (boost dmg for next 5 seconds), Ambush (hits target from behind for 180-200 dmg *for me as of now*, and if used from front hits target for 50-60 dmg). Dodge (for next attack within 5 seconds), and Counterattack (available when an attack misses you) which also have the ability to stun by chance. Oh, forgot about stealth ROFL, but it's kinda bad compare to WoW stealth atm, it has a 20 second duration (for assasins this will increase as you level), and since I lag cause the game's in Korea, sometimes it takes forever to stealth =.= so I just run up to the mob and hit it anyways to prevent ppl from KSing me :P.
I'll update this when closed beta's up again so I can go train my lvl 13 skills lol >.> I really hate how they keep the servers up for 7 hours a day 6 days a week only, can't test much =/
Oh yeah, weapons also have sockets in it, white = 1 socket green = 2 socket, and from the mobs you'll find things you can socket in it. I put crit gems in mine lol, but there are + Attack Power gems too, and + HP ones etc.
If you bring a lot of bandages, you can kill non stop. Or if you feel really rich and prefer to chug potions lol.
But really, even if you sit down to regain HP at my current lvl it's fast. Usually within 15 seconds I'm up and going again. I rarely rest on my assasin at all when I'm hunting. Since as I said in another post that I'm rarely not at full MP to use skills, and believe me I spam it :P
I was going to play an assasin in the official release to begin with =p
If you don't remember my previous post it was on the page before
Yep! It'll help you refresh some of the skills I mentioned here that aren't new.
I've also discovered it's MUCH smarter to use sword on the main hand and dagger on the offhand. Sword will allow your main hand attacks (which is the hand you use skills primarily on) to be much higher, and dagger will help your OH crit more for higher dmg and hit much faster.
I've also been stacking dodge gems on my armor as well as crit gems on my gears. Dodge gems help activate counterattack for stun much more often, and crit gems help me kill faster in general :P.
Soo, I did something stupid yesterday. I didn't realize that I was at the right trainer, but looking at the wrong tab (ranger skills). Just today I realized I didn't train skills since lvl 10 (and I also had lvl 13 skills to train). Got a ton of new skills that's hella nice and I kill fast as hell now

. It's really not my fault I can't read korean! >.>
I got swift strike (frontal slash thing) lvl 2, (I had this since low lvl, but now I got the 2nd lvl of it)
I also got ambush lvl 2. (description same as what I posted before, more dmg if i hit from back and 1/4 of the dmg if I deal from front)
But the new skills I got are the sick ones :P
I got dash

Increase speed by 8 seconds, I'm not sure how much speed, just know it runs very fast. It's on a 5 minute cooldown.
I got front charge slash attack. Pretty much I blink from 20 yards of the mob to the mob and hit it once for a decent amount of dmg. It has a cooldown, like 15 seconds or 20 seconds, not very long.
I also got a rune attack combo. The first skill is a skill called draw rune, it has a cooldown, and it's the skill required in order to use the second skill called rune explosion or something. Think of it like WoW rogue combo (where you need combo points in order to use finishing move). Draw rune doesn't deal so much dmg itself. But it can stack up to 5 times. Then after you stacked draw rune up, you can use rune explosion. The more draw rune you have on the monster (up to 5!), the more dmg rune explosion will be. If you had 3 or more draw rune on the monster when you used rune explosion, it'll also stun the target. This is another stun on top of the counter attack with chance to stun, since that one's only available after you dodge an attack.
Soo, I kill hecka fast now!
I'll probably keep journalizing my new skills in here as I level. But it's going to be more challenging because my finals are coming up! Never the less I'll try to at least get 2 lvls every 2 days to get new skills if I can
It's probably fair to say as of now because I can't exactly explain how much dmg it deals I'll just try to give a rough idea. A mob my lvl (13) will die probably from 3 and a half ambush, which is the highest dmg along with rune explosion (they deal about 200 with rune explosion rank 4~5, hard to say because mobs don't actually survive until my cooldowns allow me to use 5 draw runes lol). Ambush deals roughly 200-220, draw rune 60-124 depending on crit, rune explosion with 3 draw runes 174, blink attack 164, swift attack (frontal slash) 120-160 depending on crit or not, back slash 80-120 depending on crit, counterattack (forgot, but it's not high too high, roughly about a little less than draw rune?).
For some skills I've noticed the dmg's roughly the same everytime I use it. Which means the skill either guarantees a crit, or the skill doesn't crit at all. (I'm pretty sure it's the first one not the second one).
For example, Ambush. As I said, ambush dmg is always around 200 for me as of my current lvl and gear. Draw rune however, is not. Non crit dmg is 60, and crit dmg is 120.
But from what I've noticed, Ambush will be the source of my primarily dmg, so what I've resorted to doing is to try to get enough dodge to proc counter attack enough to stun it (which will allow me to ambush from the back, ambush has the shortest cooldown even shorter than swift attack). Draw rune and stuff will be something to support the stun (remember 3+ draw rune -> stun on rune explosion). Therefore, I want the highest dmg to come from my ambush, which means I want my MH dmg to be highest to use it.
*Edited* Okay, it does seem to crit (Ambush), just not that much compare to other skills. When it crits it hits for around 300?
Sword does have higher parry on it though, which might help proc counter attack more o.o since draw rune sometimes doesn't proc that well, so it's hard to stun with rune explosion :/
And dagger on OH because OH itself is weaker than MH, which means I want it to crit as much as possible. Very important to balance out dodge crit on gears along with weapon dmg and +physical attack.
P.S. I like to try things out and then judge from my observations instead of theorize bout it so sometimes I'm not very clear on the specific dmg. So i'm just trying to explain base on the common pattern that I've noticed

.
I started off using double daggers though, since I didn't have rune explosion stun or enough dodge to proc counter attack a lot, so I didn't have much skills to spam so to kill it fast it was a crit or watch 4 and 7 show up on your screen thing :P lol
