Dont want that to happen again  ...apparantly it was offensive to the little kids...but WoW's reporting policy and players are quite retarded...I'd honestly like to meet one of those ppl IRL who actually take the time out to report to a GM when someone swears in chat or something. It's quite rediculous, I hope they dont tattle like that IRL or they wont be making many friends....once someone told my friend "f*** you", my friend typed "no, f*** you"...the guy reported my friend, got a 3 day ban, and the guy who reported him didnt get anything. |
It's the new carebear side WoW managed to bring into the MMORPG world. I actually value L2 for giving such freedom to the player. First of all, little kids don't belong to the internet, and certainly not to actually pay with real money monthly. But because companies actually ignore that, trouble happens inside their servers because I believe that only immature people react bad enough to report someone because of some curse word. Come on, it's the XXI century and you can see brutal and violent scenes during the news at dinner time...
I totally agree with your opinion Calindor, and that's why I really enjoyed Lineage. I could do whatever I wanted to. Kill steal a mob, buff him to make a guy drop gear, chat whatever I wanted, give my characters the nicknames I would find suitable. People can feel offended with stuff they read on magazines, do they report it to court?
