I think it was exceedingly obvious that each race had a better and worse DP for different professions, with some fogginess concerning the melee. The issue is more rather that they have competative abilities with alternate strategic value, rather than completely broken abilities offset by other unfair advantages elsewhere.

I think if it was 10 seconds of protection compared to 30 seconds of gradual healing, it would be much closer to fair.
