Do you see where I'm coming from a bit better now? To be honest, I think NCsoft needs to be restructured and someone with charisma and love for the fans, not just profits, needs to be put in charge. All three offices need to be unified and the flow of information between them needs to be like walking down a hall and poking your head into your buddy's office. Fans need to be able to contact the development team directly somehow, and the development team needs to listen to fans of all nationalities with equal importance.

Didn't NCsoft Korea walk away from E3 2006 with the idea of "Free-flight"? They got it from an American convention? And what do we have to show for it?
Guys and girls,

It seems you are slightly misinterpreting the situation. All three NCsoft branches are working hard on Aion. You might not see much publicity from all, but that's fundamentally because we have played out slightly varying roles up and until now. I believe that we have been able to communicate all official information with a quite decent time delay. We are also here (as we always will be) to take in feedback. The Suggestion Cycle threads are, for an example, an excellent source used in mapping out the wants and needs of the community.

The fact that beta now only happens to cover the South Korean regions does in no way mean that we have any less desire to let other territories partake in testing the game. More rather, we would want nothing more. But reality remains - there are obstacles there that prevent us from doing so at this instant. I'm of course talking about localization, both client-wise and communication-wise. The client is not yet fully translated, and while it's progressing with a good pace - we don't want to expose the game to players in a language they probably don't understand. It just takes away too much from the MMO experience. To come to terms with this, the initial testing phases are in the development language, allowing the developers to put more time and effort in to actually making the game ... dare I say 'awesome'?
