So strange that you could respond easier with that from people who were othe rlanguages then speaking with someone who spoke your own *scratches head*
Of course we used that feature with our own languages too, because it got to the point where it was faster to use the translator to show our words then it was to actually type them O_O I still sometimes hit the tab key in the middle of a word when in anything typing xD
It was said before I'm sure, but FFXI was so easy to do with the server set up, because the game was "slow" paced in terms of how the battles took place. Characters having around 10 skills only, not including magic spells, and the skills having 30second and 60 second and even 2 hour cool downs, it was easier to manage with any lag issues. Today's mmo's are more involved and require alot faster "reaction" to the actuall gameplay, so split second timing is way more crucial then it was in FFXI.
