I remember that video where assassin killed a sorcerer before stun wore off.
The assassin/rogue classes tend to be overpowered in most mmos because of bad balancing manadgement.
It goes like; the class is designed to have good dps and a lot of disabling skills, and weak vs heavy melee, which is fine and logical.
But then they cry because their dps in pve is low, and get a dmg boost.
And then they cry because they are easy to kite, and get anti kiting stuff.
And then they cry about their low survivality and get some evasion or antispell skills/more hp.
In the end, we have a behemoth with highest dmg output, best cc and disable, very hard to kite and that can kill even heavy melees in a fair match, and 50% of population play that class.
Thats true for a lot of games.
