GameGuard sucks. It patches the running kernel to hide processes and tends to kill things it doesn't like...things it shouldn't kill like bluetooth stacks and it only works with 32-bit XP. Most games play fine in XP x64 but then a dev adds something like GameGuard and you can no longer play the game. I tried running another NCSoft game using GameGuard on XP x64 and it killed a bunch of running processes that it shouldn't have, simple things like the driver for my UPS. I have nothing but loathing for rootkits, especially ones like GameGuard.
