Lol they are morons, I remember my math teacher talking about something like this but with a Mcdonalds Burger.
They like had a sign and it said cheeseburger .99 cents, so he went in and asked for a cheeseburger and when he got it he threw down a penny and was like keep the change lol. So then he had to teach them about the difference between $.99 and .99 cents hahaha. But he paid the dollar anyway because he wanted to lol.
I heard that story like 2 years ago so it might of actualy been a different burger, and a different reasoning why he did it lol.. I forgot those parts
