I just feel like breaking this overly discussed topic. New topic: Is this armour actually realistic and would you wear it into battle?
I say yes!
While I'd like to see a bit more metal on the upper arm, in general, the armour looks very sturdy. The bands along the waist should allow a bit more flexibility. Now, the best way to defeat armour is with by focusing a lot of energy on a point with an attack that has roughly 90 degree angle of incidence, as in you want to strike the armour perpendicularly. This is best accomplished via poleaxe which has the effect of multiplying your strength due to the additional torque applied by the length of the pole in addition to focusing your energy on a point. However, the spike isn't very long so a sword might be more ideal of a finishing blow. Unless you are packing ERA, you would therefore want either angular or curved armour surfaces. This armour has multiple rounded surfaces which effectively prevent attackers from achieving a 90 degree angle of incidence attack while stabbing. Even slightly off center hits will be naturally deflected due to the curvature. However, the chest could use some reworking, unless it is substantially thicker in that region. Not only am I fairly certain that it hurts a great deal to get hit in the ****s, the curvature isn't great enough to uncenter attacks. I bet the best design for chest armour would be just a great big metal spike. There's no way to achieve 90 degree angle of incidence from a straight forward attack without a significant height advantage. All your attacks would just slip along the spike. And then when you're off balance, they could just run into you or something. Maybe knock you down and bellyflop on you.
