That graph is skewed to look like the results are greater difference than they really are. At best the GTX series is performing at 2.4x quicker, and at worse less than 1.5x.. But the graph makes it look like the cards are between 2x and 10x (if you just look at bar length).
When you consider that it's comparing a new line of gpu's to an old line - it's not really that fantastic. Sure twice as powerful as the 3870X2 is pretty impressive, but we've yet to see what R770 brings to the table.. if R770 is even 1.8x quicker than the 3870X2 (Mid-high probability imho) then the results of the GTX series compared to the R770s, you'll see maybe a 20% difference as opposed to a 120% difference.
I'm guessing that graph came from nVidia
PR, ATi could do the same thing - comparing their R770's to the current 9 Series and showing probably 150% increase, then everyone would be like "whoa those figures are hot". I severely dislike companies comparing their latest and greatest to their rival companies previous line instead of their rivals latest... But then again it's nVidia - it's to be expected.
Personally I'm reserving all judgement on the next lines until I actually see the results for myself, I don't believe any of this crap the companies release themselves.
