I'm going Cleric because I want to play support for groups, that and I'm not much of a melee-type, but that doesn't make me weak, I just like playing defensive types roles.
Another thing in most games, healers never really get thanked after say...a dungeon, instance or raids, not saying that everyone else don't deserve praise for completing, but I guess a lot of people are too focused on doing damage to realize who was actually trying to keep them alive during the whole time. I'm not sure how people think that we're just 1-button pressers, spamming that heal button, when we get aggro, either:
a. Run around like a krazed kitten
b. Try to remove aggro and let another tank the mobs
c. Just die and cause grief for your group. >.>
Then again, I play healer classes, because it fun in who keep alive first, makes it pretty exciting when your group is getting hurt (Not that I enjoy it all the time o.O) at the same time and you have to figure how to heal first, keep you on your toes and maybe from getting bored which can happen sometimes when the group rarely needs a heals and you're just standing there, or maybe trying to DPS yourself.
Btw, we're human, not robots...though we can be if we want to be too. Not all healers are total asses, just the people behind the that pretty avatar playing and some really good healers deserve some kind of pampering if he/she can keep 10 people alive, but not be overdoing it of course.
