Just wondering since i plan on upgrading my 8600gt 256mb to a 512 or more video.
I keep hearing 32bit OS use 2GB or 3GB of ram max.

So lets say i have 2GB of DDR2 ram and buy a 512mb Video making it 2.5gb of ram would i need a 64bit OS to use it my video card to optimize performance?

Or is that 2GB/3GB ram limit on 32bit OS is only for Physical RAM and does not have anything to do with video memory?
