Unsure as to why we needed a duplicate thread, but meh.
Time frame doesn't make a huge difference, it's what else they can do in the time between buffs (such as debuffs, backup heals, and light DPS). Good examples would be original Paladin in WoW with 5 min buff timers, yes you still could do other things while keeping them up; or Bard from FFXI (even shorter timer but you still had time to backup heal, debuff, and pull). Nothing wrong with having longer buffs either, it's the lack of being able to do anything but buff that matters. Besides, there's nothing saying we won't have in party only and anyone buffs. The hardcore PVE content will be member capped and if it gets to bad with buffing before you go in, it's very easy to add a mechanic that removes all buffs upon entering an instance. In a PVP environment, it's even easier. And really, good luck with the dual boxing a buffer/healer for pvp. Free kills ^^
