They load in their full size, but they just get resized. So you wont reload them when you click "resize".
This is how it works:
Thread is loaded, images detected. When image a has finished loading the resize code resizes it so it fit within the thread width. It gives you a perfect overview of all images and each image is only a click away to view in its full size, can't get much better.
As for your request,
you can now change it in your settings.
Go to "User CP" -> "
Edit Options" and then scroll to Thread Display Options :
Image Resize
This forum automatically resizes images which are too large. Please choose below how you would like to view the enlarged images.
Please select the resize mode :
Image width
Images wider than this width will be resized. Enter 0 in the field below to allow all widths, or leave the field empty to use the default value of 640:
Image Height
Images taller than this height will be resized. Enter 0 to allow all heights, or leave the field empty to use the default value of 0:
