I guess stigmas can blur the differences between the classes, because an assassin with a pole arm is closer to being a gladiator; of course it wont have plate but it will have far more strength to make up for it. Glads can't really get good stigmas compared to assassins since they were not meant to use polearms, while glads are supposed to be able to use any weapon.
