They look waaaay too-cartoony to me. Seriously, this looks like they went through the WoW weapons and just started copying ****. The particle effects would be awesome if you could set it to one color, but the weapon models look ****in' plastic. Everything looks like it's just too fat. Samurai Longswords from L2 are proof that these artists can make ornate, badass swords that aren't a foot across. There are plenty of different cultures to draw inspiration from if you want some exotic weapon models to get away from the "medieval" feel, and they look a hell of a lot better than these massive plastic-looking pieces of crap.
