If an assassin isn't what the lore says it is, and is not what an assassin generally is, why call it an assassin? NCsoft set the stand for the assassin class by finally choosing the assassin class name. Hey, if it's not an assassin, don't call it by that name. State in the lore "Assassins are adept at wielding 2 handed weapons and smashing their enemies with brute force" instead of giving the general statement of what an assassin is. I agree that assassins vary from game to game, but unless they define their characters, they should more likely follow the path of their lore and what the creators set them out to do.
The same thing happened in WoW with Druids; they were not supposed to be the best at any 1 thing, but they became the best in almost every category. Thing is, WoW didn't bother to fix this and the class advanced too far and now it's too late for any major changes. I really don't wish to see this happen to any class in Aion. I will say that the Stigma option completely defies everything I've really said, since they change everything without a real reason. If weapon stat boosts and reductions are added, this would balance out alot (but not all) of these problems that might arise for some while. That is, until someone thinks another Stigma is OP.
Also, about the pole assassin: If glads could increase their damage to match or surpass them, why are Glads still complaining about them on the official forum (yes, I've read quite a bit) about it? It doesn't seem to be a perfect fit yet, so hopefully Aion devs will listen to the people and solve this sooner or later. And the links to the sorc vid do not necessarily mean she is using a stigma; we do not know the level of the players she is attacking, nor anything about her. Yes, a magic damage stigma might be in use, but we dont know unless the vid says so.
