You are missing the point. I'm not saying they can't use poles if you read what I'm saying. Just like character creation, there is a limit and alot of people agree with it. I want limitations on my classes; I don't want classes to replace others simply by using a stigma or by wielding another weapon. Even tough Glads have plate, testers are still complainging, be it their stigmas cant compare or something of the sort.
No, my friend, I have almost never seen an assassin silent and deadly in Aion. No, I don't see them sneaking up on mobs. It's not efficient. It's not helpful. It's a waste of time. The only time an assassin MIGHT go into stealth is when they do small pvp; in group pvp it is almost pointless because you are seen, you are targeted, you are dead. It's the same way with WoW; swords are recommended for leveling. Why? Because it just isn't worth the time to go into stealth and backstab a monster over and over. Thing is, in WoW you have more freedom in stealth as it isn't timed, etc. This is where the polearm comes in; it's useful and even I think it's a great idea.
Someone made a post about adding a monk class. What is a monk? What weapons can he use? Do you know what a monk is? Where do they come from? All these things depend on the person. Yes, maybe some want polearm assassin, and I'm all for it. But if you don't limit yourself, screw playstyle if it's unbalanced as hell and screwed up. At least give other classes a stigma to catch up in certain areas. I just don't see it happening yet, but I'm sure NCsoft will fix it, so I'm all up for it.
By the way, I really haven't seen other stigmas so I can't really compare them to this one.
