This is the answer to your question.
Many new pieces of hardware come with there own drivers and applications to supposedly improve there proformance and customisation. Windows vista has a amazingly stupid program called UAC(user account control). This program pretty much stops anything that is not vista certified from working. I will make it so you cant bind mouse push to talk buttons to your mouse for CS or vent. They have also hid UAC from you making it difficult to turn off, fortunately I have switched back to a hacked version of XP lite for extreme gaming purposes. But I have used vista 64 a ton and am glad I can help you with this. I dont remember the exact location of the option menu that lets you turn off UAC. I believe you will find it in your user account control section of control panel.
