I also showed the power consumption chart where 4850CF is even with a single 4870. It only requires 300 watts. Which is the key reason that makes 4850 worth it. You say get a single 4870 and thena nother one later. Well you'll also need a new PSU, and an expensive one at that, and you arent going to get much more performance than a few fps. It would have been nice if you atleast read some of the post

, or maybe even posted examples to prove how a single 4870 now a days with all the new drivers and cf/sli support (its not like the cards just game out yesterday) would be better than 4850cf.
I did a search on hardforum.com and people are posting their 4850cf benchmarks...and in most cases, the average fps is much closer to the min fps than it is to the max...The only difference being in games that are extremely demanding and have an average fps of like 30 or 40. I saw a fear benchmark for example of like max fps 90, average 40, min 25, and the test showed 99% of the time the game was over 40fps.
I dont have 2 monitors, nor will i ever have a reason to use two of them. I understand there can be some scaling CF problems, but I havent heard of any except for when the first cards were first released...the new beta catalyst drivers also seem to greatly increse scaling and performance....I'd just like to see maybe an example of why a single card would be so much cleaner and better other than just mentioning a problem thats been around for years.
