I've been set on a chanter for the longest time but, a resent change in outlook has me leaning towards a possible class change. Theres always been something incredibly appealing about assassin / rogue classes to me. Keep your puppets, your pyro, the safety cage of plate, the miracles, the haxxzorbuffs... What other class is more efficient? More logical? As Ra's al Ghul said in Batman Begins: "If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart."
A lot of people give stealth classes a hard time because they dislike being ganked. I'm guilty of being as ****ed off as the rest. What I hate is when people say sneaking is 'cowardly'. Its not. The Sun Tzu says "All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him."
You can't completely disrespect a class that will take on armored juggernauts, masters of elements, creatures, monstrosities, and fiends armed with a only a small sharp blade, a sharper mind, and a logic-driven viciousness. To be an assassin is to embrace risk, turning chaos into weaponry. It is to forgo ego, intimidation and flash in exchange for becoming an extension of fate. It is to be swift, simple, and silent. All very clean and yet, so delightfully messy. I have to say I would prefer an Asmo assassin to an Elyos for only one reason: the angel of death we fear, the reaper, comes on black wings with blade in hand. While you may not be struck in awe and fear at the sight of an assassin, I can guarantee that more often than you'd like, an assassin will be the last thing you DON'T see.
