Just to remind you guys, these numbers aren't whats going to make Aion outshine wow. Consider the fact that the game is still in Obt so this doesn't revolve paying subscribers yet. The obt cap is 30 and no Abyss/End game content testing.
It could be another War/AoC if they don't play the end game content right, and honestly it does seem so

Very true. Aion is going to have to do more than attract people to pay to play, it's going to have to keep them too. And even if it manages to do this, Warcraft has a very dedicated crowd dating back to the days before it was even an MMO; there are people who will play WoW until the day the last server closes - Just look at Ultima Online, it's still going strong!
At the very least though, all this attention bodes well.
