I still say that bop is a dumb concept that hurts more than it helps, its not likely bots can farm bosses.
As for trading system, it could be like diablo 2 where gold had no value whatsoever and there only was item trading, so people started to use some items as "currency" (sojs, high runes, etc), and it worked pretty good, trading was actually THE major part of game.
Its harder to do the same in a mmo, but i'm sure there are ways, i don't like the idea of "dead" items that are struck on your char and even if you won't use them anymore, all you can do is vendor them. Plus bop system is highly restricted to attendance, and cases when x person wanted y item with very low drop rate, which finally dropped but that person wasn't present, sucks alot.
Plus its just unrealistic in every way.
