For starters we all know - or should know - the development team has changed a few times and only last couple of months we have been seeing a very responsive and good dev-team. We have all seen how fast the deployments were implemented and how fast the game improved . We even saw an influx of new players and old players returning due to those efforts .
To cut it loose at that time - just prior to the "return to earth-deployment " as well - is ludicrous . If you have been following progress you might also have noticed they have indeed started to implement PAU's .
didn't you read my post ? NCsoft themselves have
repeatedly stated it was a triple A title , not the devs ,not the players . And they kept insisting it was triple A just days before shutdown decision . Aion is also triple A , btw . That implies their classifications of their games don't mean anything either .If they can so easily close one triple A title you can bet they won't hesitate to do the same to any other game of theirs if they deem it appropriate . And the reasoning behind it is lame as well . If you read the interview with NCsoft's
PR-manager you're ROFL-ing . Noone believes that guy- and by that I mean
noone - when he says the decision was made "very recently " .
We now know they'll give each of their titles exactly
one year to "meet their expectations" , if the game doesn't accomplish that : it's killed .That includes Aion . It's apparently their new "policy" . This is the only company doing that ,totally disregarding their customers and it says a lot about their attitude towards their player-bases .
I'm not talking about developers or CR-managers , I'm referring to the upper echelons of general management .
Where is NCsoft west with their comments ? Where is Jeff Strain? Where is
anyone from NCsoft general management ?
They are nowhere to be seen because they simply don't have the guts to come out and defend and discuss their decision.
