i like the idea of real estate, but being in cities only. plenty of space for rent, probably instanced, either for guilds or for individuals--and the ability to decorate with items and hopefully more interaction between furniture (ability to sit, be able to seat a few people if the couch if big enough, for example.) upkeep fees of some sort.
this preference of mine comes from my days in SWG just pre-launch when everyone was in the cities and there were tons of people always about. with the addition of player housing and player cities the need to be in cities decreased--leaving all the beautiful environments complete ghost towns except for major PVP battles or a select cantina where you'd find entertainers--afk entertainers >.<
