From what I've heard the gameplay is a lot like WoW, however I do see a lot of similarities in gameplay (as far as pvp and how you attack) that remind me of Lineage 2. Which is good.
So far what ive read from previous posts about what korean beta testers are saying about the game is that it is like WoW but of course not exactly like it.
I believe this will be the first NCSoft/Korean based MMO that will be targeted toward the casual online gamers. IMO this will be the game that either makes or breaks the World of Warcraft community and the upcomming much hyped Warhammer Online (which looks like a WoW ripoff all the way, but people seem to be really excited about it) which is scheduled to launch early 08, im guessing around the same time of this game and Wrath of the Litch King (the 2nd WoW expansion).
With all 3 debuting around the same time it will be interesting to see who goes were. Im sure most of the Lineage2 players that havent quit yet will either stay with L2 or come to Aion. WoW players will flock to Aion or Warhammer - if not wait for there new xpac to come out (personally id rather 90% of the WoW community stay where ther at or go to warhammer, id rather play with L2 players in Aion)
However, those of us who feel we wont be challenged in Aion, well, I think our feeling is correct and it will be fairly easy.
But at least it wont look like friggin cartoon land *coughcoughwowcoughcough*
and lineage 3 is on the horizon.
