My boyfriend and I, and my two friends (Goose and Pepper) all downloaded the EU version and for all of us it unpacked to 14.5 Gigs. For all of us too, the first download only grabbed 5-6 Gigs then the repair obtained an additional 8-9 Gigs. There's a whole discussion about this happening to other people around the forums too, so although it seems inconsistent, it does happen.

I'm not disagreeing that yours is 14G but mine is 7.8G after the consistency check and has run fine for both beta's so perhaps you downloaded somewhere completely different but what comes from the link i've given is 7.8G :P
I downloaded the US client and switched region to EU.
