It seems there are large hordes of MMORPG players nowadays who only "want to pvp". Meaning they want a maximum-level character from the get-go. With the best pvp gear. And then nuke other players all day long in the same battelground. Over and over again. Where is the RPG element in that ? Why not play CounterStrike or Quake ? A major part of the gameplay in an RPG is that you start with nothing, and then slowly improve your level, your gear and your skills. If anybody can play any class, at max level, with good gear, whenever they feel like it, it takes away lots of the good part of an RPG.
