A major part of the gameplay in an RPG is that you start with nothing, and then slowly improve your level, your gear and your skills. If anybody can play any class, at max level, with good gear, whenever they feel like it, it takes away lots of the good part of an RPG.

I'm sorry if my post made it look like that, but it's far from something like this...
Switching classes doesn't mean your other class is lvl'd...or can even wear the same gear...
You would of course have to lvl that other class from lvl1, get all the abilities, spells, gear...etc, just like you create the new char, nothing else changes...
only the quests (missions or w/e) you finished on your first class, would remain finished on any other class...since well, you do have same character...
Classes are completely seperate...one has nothing to do with another, you can have a lvl50 Templar (in this case i guess) with great gear...then you switch to lvl1 Cleric...of course i'd have to lvl it from scratch and get all the gear for it, repeate some quests/missions if they offer several rewards etc...
You say about everyone able to play any class, with good gear...whenever they feel like it...well, why not...but it sure will take you a long time to lvl all jobs to max lvl's and get all the best gear for each of those jobs...
I'm one that really enjoys PvE, i never did liked PvP much (maybe because of FFXI), and i sure don't like to get stuff done easy and fast. Hopefully game will offer a lot of challenge.
Please think about what you're about to say, before you go berserk and say something like this
