As I recall, you are not fluent in Korean correct?

Well to be true I am not fluent in korean, however I can read and write Hangeul, I just dont have a real vocabular yet. I learned korean Hangeul myself and with the help of my korean girlfriend, so I am at least able to communicate with other koreans and use the Aion client nearly to its full extend.

And if so, what articles do you intend to write about, seeing as you cannot translate player feedback and official announcements nor can you give full personal experience because of the language barrier?

As already mentioned in my blog, I will mostly try to enlighten the readers about the dark and the light site of the NEWS about Aion. In order to reach this goal I try my best to call upon several english speaking Korean players directly from the game and include my own experiences there (I am a level 37 ranger and playing since the kOBT - you can call me a casual gamer).

Go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong, I'm going off of my assumptions.

Are the rest of your articles going to be biased like the ones you've already posted? Or are they going to take a neutral tone?

I guess this needs to be seen, but one thing I can assure you, they will never be more biased than those of Elliot

We support this endeavour. Unlike many others on this site, we do respect the opinions even if they're the opposite of what we believe in, as long as they're rooted in reason. Every new blog added just gives everyone more information and having a "counter" elliot site is simply promoting critical thinking. The only reason we started hitting back at fanboys is because of the lack of intelligence or simple logic displayed in their rants. If there's one thing we hate, it's willful ignorance.

I really want to advice everyone of you to make your own opinion about the game before you judge about it too much without ever having played it. Its just not fair, not to the game, not to the developers and not to the community. I for one think that with Aion they did such a beautiful and detailed masterpiece which everyone of you should get the chance to try it out yourself and judge by the time you are able to. There will never be a perfect game, and even thou Aion will have its downsides, don’t be deceived by the things you encounter in the net, be patient and give it some time, you will be amazed on what you see… I can assure you - but never expect too much

If the fanboys ranted it's because the doomsayers ranted, and vice versa. It's a feedback phenomenum so we can't really put the exclusive blame on neither. Being critic isn't always being right, I'm not saying Elliot's translations are wrong (excepting percents, which 90% of the times are made up *cwutIdidthar*) but I didn't like how in his last translation, for example, he intentionaly forgot 50% of the quests, which can be seen in hellbound's site, where someone took the time to get the data by himself and the differences are abysmal (no pun intended) Then he said that rangers and spiritmasters cant do those quests cause they aren't wanted in parties...give me a break please.

LD's point is exactly what I've been thinking, he has seen some people can't think by themselves, nor take things written with a grain of salt, nor remain skeptical until they see what it really is about, LD's blog might be necessary for those and good for our community in the long term.

well befor you posted you should thought about it or did more searching on LD, im not flaming you but your post was kinda attacking him, like ti was stated LD played or still is playing AION and elliot never had al elliot on translated stuff of the korean Forums LD has other ppl that play with him that can translate things to.

Liek i siad im not trying o make it sound liek im flaming you in way shape or forum it just elliot only talked about ALL the bad stuff about AION and made them sound like they make the game unplable as in LD said yes there down sides but here are alot of good stuff that AION offers.

Nice blog LD sure i'm going to take a look on it. The western Aion community needed something like this.
You will need to fight hard to counter the influence of Elliot's blog because as all journalist know very well bad news always sells alot more than good news.

We don't think its a bad game, we just don't think its the perfect game people set it out to be. We're just advocates of free speech, were a person can give his/her opinions about the game without being chased out and flamed by others. These said people who complain when people flame them yet consider their posts to be completely flame-less and amazing.

I just want to know the realistic side of Aion, the good and the bad. No less no more

erm like i siad Elliot only talked about whats wrong with AIOn and made it sound 100% worst then it really was, not saying everything was really that bad but a few items he spoke about wasnt that bad. So like before if you go back and read 98% of elliots post there nothing good about AION just whats wrong with it even tho the game been only for a few months.

Not saying Elliots post wasnt nice and all just some ppl saw him only to bash on a game that he never played and got all his info mostly from the forums that some ppl just whine about everything that may not be as bad they make it out to be.

It was the "even if they're the opposite of what we believe in" part that struck me, since the original thread was about the positive sides of Aion, more or less, and he mentioned what I just quoted, so I was wondering if he felt that Aion was in average a bad game. I gather from your response that he was talking in general.
