Hi everyone,
during the recent happenings within the whole Aion community I decided to start a blog myself It will mostly focus on a different approach on how to judge the "dark side" of Aion. If you are interested to read, you can check it out at Lord Devil’s Aion BlogHope you like it, take care, LD |

People would expect us now branded "Aion Haters" to flame someone for speaking their mind about Aion in a positive way. On the contrary, I just finished reading all of LD's postings and I have to say I'm impressed. For someone who didn't see eye to eye on the issues we argued about (all be it he was personally flamed in a manner I completely dislike) he still acknowledged the basic concept of how people need to critically think in an individual manner on an issue rather then follow some stereotypical misguided standard

Are you going to be taking Elliot's articles and doing your own review on them?
He specifically asked not to have his translations copied without his permission. And is your blog a counter to Elliot's? If not, fire away. I also have some personal questions for you, As I recall, you are not fluent in Korean correct? And if so, what articles do you intend to write about, seeing as you cannot translate player feedback and official announcements nor can you give full personal experience because of the language barrier? Go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong, I'm going off of my assumptions. Are the rest of your articles going to be biased like the ones you've already posted? Or are they going to take a neutral tone? I'm not terribly concerned about Elliot actually, as I find the blog entertaining if nothing else. While I found your retort interesting, it is for your review of the game that I thank you. I am looking forward to your next post, regarding whether or not Aion is too grindy or hardcore.
It's an interesting line, the difference between as Elliot puts it, being "hardcore" or "soft." WoW is, whether we like it or not, the litmus test against which all other MMOs seem to be compared. It is painfully easy to level in WoW, and even more so with the EXP changes made from 20-70. I hit 68 without once stepping foot in 3 different Outland zones. I hit 80 very quickly just from doing quests, and had 3 Northrend zones to continue questing in for cash. Each level was roughly 5-6 hours worth of pure questing, but usually less. To me, this was far too quick. The crucial point for Aion is to have some compelling reason to continue leveling, regardless of the pace. If there are incentives (the so-called "carrot on a stick"), I'm not quite as adverse to grinding. I'd rather gain levels through compelling quests though, and group "dungeons" than grind mindlessly on mobs. ![]() |

Sounds good. It'd be nice to get advice and insight from another person, especially since you have personal friends playing right now who you can double check with. We all know things can be blown out of proportions with forum drama as people try to get things changed, but it seems Elliot has forgotten this and reads it as truth. I'm excited to see what you can breathe into what is really going on =].

Is it a counter, i view it more as a way to get a better perspective on the entire situation No, he does not speak korean but if you did the trouble to read the blog you would have red he has some korean friends playing Aion. And he played the Open beta so in that case he has more experience then elliot. If elliot can do this then why can't he. I'm looking forward to hear from both of them. __________________ Welkom op de eerste Nederlandstalige Community Fansite voor Aion. Bezoek ons op www.legionsofaion.com >> Registreer je nu! |

I was just questioning him on how he was planning on overcoming certain difficulties, and making him aware on certain issues. I also in no way implied that he couldn't start blogging, in fact I'm anticipating his next article. |
