Praising changes is one-dimensional thinking. They can be good but also bad. Culture don't stop progress, culture change with people. There are a lot of good things in every culture to deserve protection.

I've gotten used to the fact that I will not be able to gain the trust of everyone here, and especially that I will not always share their opinion (I disagree with 'Aion is a Korean game, made for Koreans'). I will continue telling you the way we see things, but that's ultimately all I can do. Thanks for the consideration though, @Altwight. Paid for it or not, lively discussions can be a frustrating business. ![]() __________________ Your just and noble, Ayase ~ Sebastian Streiffert Community Manager Do not miss vital information - follow me on Twitter now: aion_ayase Last edited by Ayase; 01-15-2009 at 01:35 PM.. I'd consider them accurate and genuine concerns from people who are going to end up busting lots of money and time into the game. Not that much to ask for a bit more factual commentary and a little less fluff imo =/ |

About that you're looking for factual commentary... I'm currently giving you all that I can, and all that's possible given the circumstances. What you probably refer to as "fluff" is just the way I enjoy writing. ![]() __________________ Your just and noble, Ayase ~ Sebastian Streiffert Community Manager Do not miss vital information - follow me on Twitter now: aion_ayase |

ffxi chains idd was a nice feature. What would be sweet aswell is, with some inspiration from fighting games, if u could make ur own combos with using skills well timed and in a specific order. Probably needs a lot of thinking thru tho to be implementable in different aspects, and for every class/role in the game.
Maybe a bit OT but had to ventilate my thoughts. cheers! __________________ "to weird to live, to rare to die"

Its somewhat surprising how a discussion about party combos derailed into a discussion about culture...
But hey, that might indicate people on AS like to think hard (too hard maybe?)! ... Although i'd be happy to jump on the discussion train anytime, i'm afraid i don't have the time to do so (exam tomorrow; so gonna fail blah :/ ). However i noticed some of you kinda use a 'wrong' definition of culture, atleast wrong in the light of the current consensus... So i'll give you the definition straight from my textbook of sociology (by prof. dr. John Vincke)! culture= "The whole of common meanings we give to the behaviour of another and ourselves. It is the answer for the demands that physical environments pose to human societies, and thus gives form to human, physical action. Culture composes everything that humanity has acquired in the flow of time: values, standards, knowledge, ideas, techniques, material products and objects of art." I included that for dutch-speakers who speak better english than myself, i tried to translate as literally as possible. There are ofcourse different versions i'm sure, but before any discussion can be meaningful, you must agree on a common definition ![]() So... let that sink in for a bit... Oh, and maybe its a good idea to continue the discussion elsewhere... Like in another forum ![]() |

Would be a nice feature to have party combos, maybe it's an idea they'll consider later down the line.
