i found some reviews of the people playing at e3. some said that this game is nothing really special.its the same as all these other mmorpgs. that its just good graphics. unless its a free for all movement in wings form, this game might not be that good.

its my understanding that e3 just had a demo and a demo usually has a very small portion of the game being demonstrated.

we really havent a whole lot of information on the game at this point, nor should we consider the e3 demo to be anything close to what to expect from the polished final release. they havent even shown us the second playable race.

i like to approach things with cautious optimism, so i can respect the opinions about the e3 demo, but as i stated above, it was just a demo and the game is very, very far from complete.

If better graphics (less cartoons), free flight, and being pioneers in the game isn't "special," I don't know what is.

I do believe you. A lot of people will find Aion only "so-so." It's a fact of life. One game won't make everyone happy. But to us here at AionSource.com, Aion kicks ***.

I think everyone has their own liks and disliks so if some has a opinion not every one will take it to hart and plus the game gets beter as you lv up new skills maps and m onsters to have fun with so going on the demo you cannot say if it is bad or not.

Precisely...When it comes to MMORPG's you can't just them by a demo. You need to experience the game and the time it takes to level and travel. That's what can make or break a game...and a small demo simply cannot do that. So I have no worries yet. Once we have the beta then we will fully realize the potential or maybe even the downfall of Aion. until then we can do nothing but wait....impatiently...hahaha

I have to agree, I had been following Vanguard for more than a year when I first heard about Aion.

Honestly I must say that my interest is piqued and I am looking very forward to playing this game. Some of the innovations in this game are things that I have been looking for, for a long time in the mmo realm.

An ever changing environment where the NPCs aren't just hostile to one faction/race or another, but change depending on who the dominant faction is, and a 3rd faction that is completely computer driven that makes choices rather than just following a preset script activated by the players. Free flying movement through the world.

These things are far to powerful to be overlooked. Nothing along these lines has been done to date, and If they keep things up this game will be far and away the leading 3rd gen mmo.

I've had friends who loved how Lineage 2 looked, but went back to WoW because they didn't like the day-to-day gameplay - too boring and too repetitive, not worth the higher level perks like sieges and olympiad.

Then again I don't think WoW's gameplay or endgame content is too hot either (grinding missions a hundred times for a slim chance of dropping epic gear).

There's also the anti-Korean attitude in the MMO community. I you're asking someone's opinion about Aion, ask him what he thinks of Korean MMOs, if he says they're all crap you might wanna consider a second opinion

Ive played a few asian MMOs I cant specifically name them as Korrean but I havent minded alot fo what I played, the only thing I notice their MMOs lacking is Customisation it seems to be the lowest priority for them making everyone look the smae, however if you get the same options as Guildwars I would be happy.

Also I think one thing people are missing which is one of my favourites is the fact that dynamic weather will effect your battle style. Comeone is there anything cooler than being at an advantage because your a water Mage and it happens to be raining.

Alot of night time advantage for rouges I hope.

#1 E3 was just a demo and from what I read the majority of major reviewers gave it rave reviews.

#2 After gettting feedback from the testers at E3, the devs went back to the board and spent the next 5 months programming in what was demanded...Free flight. To top that off, the also programmed in aerial combat. (Can you believe Dev's listening to players????)

#3 ARE YOU SMOKING CRACK????? The graphics in Aion blow away every single game I've seen...even Oblivion. the smoothness and realistic design are just fantastic.

Dynamic Server Development.

Flowing, combo-based battle system for solo and group.

Weather-influenced Magic.

Angels and Demons as PCs.

Most character customization available in any mmo out there.

FPS-quality graphics/environment interaction.

All of these claims have been made by NCSoft. If they deliver on half of them, this game will blow every other mmo pre-Vanguard/Archlord away without question.
