Agreed, I don't think it'll bowl Japan over. They do have dedicated MMO players, but it's not 'mainstream' in any sense of the word. But an Asian-themed MMO, why not let Asian countries have first crack at it, right?

I think Aion will work great in NA/EU. I also think the NA/EU market is hungry for a new MMO. But being a hardcore j-rpg player im used to waiting for games to go from asia -> here and taking forever... its getting damn anoying tho.

Ever considered that we are the most difficult to please when it comes to games?

It should be no surprise to people that Korean's LOVE their video games, and quality doesn't always determine popularity. As far as I remember, they still have a tv station dedicated to Starcraft (this was not to imply that Starcraft is not of the utmost quality).

China isn't far off, especially in the MMO genre.

Japan, meh, don't know what to tell you on this one.


Whoever said the U.S. has a larger gamer base than the other two countries, not sure that's right. I think, and correct me if i'm wrong. China has 4-5 times our population, and with that, a larger % of gamers by far. Korea, while less than our population, is a good bet that they carry more "hardcore" mmorpg suited gamers. Like I said, no comment on Japan.

Be patient, enjoy your summer. Cause you won't see daylight in the fall =P.

I read several people asking about the delay to come to the West,

but looking at the commercial side of things we see that in the east they have labor-cost and large quantity.

We know they are rats in mmo, discover everything, thus meeting the expectations that they expect to find errors, finally.

With that could provide their solutions. West has very rigosos players with gameplay, graphics, lag, short defects.

I fully understand why the East began.

Will Aion Taiwan be before or after Aion Iran and Aion Moon

Did I not hear once upon a time that Aion was being translated and localized in English, French, and German at the same time? If it took NCsoft 6 months to translate it into two languages (Chinese and Japanese), would it not make sense that the "Western" localization would take approximately 9 months? I'd assume this is the schedule they're following, and the game will likely release in October then. It was even stated that the game would have a Fall release, so I'm not sure why people are getting upset now.

Granted, I still think it's a rediculous amount of time for something so simple. Unless they've hired 1 translator for each language there's really no excuse for a 9 month waiting period. I'd assume they can at least do 50+ quests a day, even taking into account the fact that they may need to alter some of them.

But what bothers me most isn't the release date, it's the lack of any type of schedule like every other country has been getting. i'm sure 99% of us would shut up and be alot happier with NCwest if they'd just give us some reassurance that Aion's going to release in the West sometime before the apocalypse. Everybody is growing tired of the screenshots and videos; we know the game is hawt. I think we've all been more than patient with NCwest and deserve a bit more than the useless garbage we've been getting lately; it's more than a little insulting.
