Do you think there will be built in Voice Chat?

Who thinks that there will be a built in voice chat? I personally would like it, but am not too sure if it will be implemented or not. What do you all think?

EDIT: I voted for yes, because it seems that NC Soft would be behind the times if they didn't consider implementing voice chat.

Why???? this game doesnt needs it its called VENT or what ever that other one called.........liek I said and some other said there no need for in game voice chat. If Ncsoft doesnt use it which they arnt from what is said that dont make them behind time alot of MMO dont use it bc there are many problems that follows with it

I hope they do have in game voice chat. You shouldn't have to pay an additional fee every month just to have voice chat. And if it is in game they can do things like highlight the char portrait that is speaking so you don't get confused as to who is talking.

Why would you need a voice chat system in game? You can use ventrilo, or teamspeak which would be a hell of a lot better anyway. If they also implement a voice chat system in game, there will be tons of little kids running around and screaming on the mic and playing stupid songs like the banana phone or something stupid like that. So, I voted no for the build in voice chat system it is not something that is absolutely needed in an MMORPG, and I don't see it fitting in at all with Aion.

I don't think it's NECESSARY to have a voice chat in Aion, but it would be a nice little optional feature that you can turn on/off whenever you wanted.

Me, I'd probably never use it, but having variety in a game is always good~

I know that Lineage2 had msn messengers implemented within but it wasn't that great.

erm thats sumthing diffrent then voice chat. the MSN was just like teh normal IM in the game but a lil better since your messages are saved

I voted no because...I just don't expect to see it happen. If it does, well, that's great. I'm not holding my breath for it to happen, though.

I agree with mark. If its in there then ok, however lots of people are used to using vent/TS so I don't think its too big a deal.

I don't think there will be voice chat, but party only voice chat would be awesome if implemented, or like party leader voice chat etc. Things like that. But publicly just to anyone in the world, I don't think that should be done.

ya party voice maybe.......but like others said most people use vent or teamspeak......

I’d have to say NO to that voice chat. It’s just that I’d rather use VENT to talk to people then an in-game program.

The thought of having something like that in-game really does not appeal to me. I’ve played Battle Field 2 with that and it causes no end of problems especial if you get some little kid screaming down the mic every 2 second just because he died.

If you want to talk to people in game just get vent or TC it’s a lot better and will be a lot clear and wont lag out or crash when the game server does. Also it saves you from abuse that always finds its way onto those types of things. With vent and TC you have a password it to stop just anyone dropping in.

I would have to say yes, only because wow is soon implementing in-game voIP and i dont think NC Soft will want to fall behind.

Either way i dont mind, there is always vent/ts to use but it would be nice not paying for vent and having a free in game one

O.o I voted yes for the simple fact that 2 new games I've heard of/ played have it already or is going to have it soon. WoW and LOTRO to state who, now for some reason I don't think you would hear everyone talking that's on the voice system I'd hope there is a channel system so that you can pick your group. Also who's forcing you to turn the voice chat on? And it doesn't mean that because certain games (*cough* xbox) have the voice chat poorly implemented that it will be the same in all games, especially the ones in development.

They might not have this feature at launch, but if they see that it's working for other games we might see it in an update later on, I think that's feasible.
