Yes, probably. Cause else they would have announced it with the updated changes, I guess.

Does anyone know why that even when I download the client without the launcher that like 50-75% of the files in the download are corrupted. Ive tried using the launcher for 4 days now along with downloading via firefox. Neither has worked. I put the broken corrupted files in the ncsoft folder and tried the repair thing but it just gives me an error after attempting the repair.
I can on occasion get it to start to download some 7gb file and it fails to do so every time. |

I've been trying to install Aion since Sunday. Let's just say I'm glad I've a fair use policy with my internet downloads...
I finally downloaded the install file outside the launcher (saves downloading it yet again), but I keep getting the same error once I'm starting the client: I get that nice Aion logo, then the gameguard thingie in the right corner, and finally a full black screen with the NCSoft logo on it. Then I get the following error: Quote:
My OS is WinXP (SP3) and I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT graphics card (the driver is from june 10th, 2009). I was hoping those fixes would work, but I'm starting to lose hope... |

It's normal. Just change your region (File -> Settings -> advanced) to North America and download the US client. Ayase told us not to worry, they'll let us know when an EU client becomes available.
For now the US client works fine - once it's installed just set your region to Europe, so it shows as Aion (US) and the game will automatically log you into the EU servers. Not just as a reply to you but for everyone else in this thread who didn't know this yet. ![]() |

So, I thought, well maybe I just need to reinstall the launcher and associate Aion with it a-fresh. So after doing this it shows Aion (US) as the only version installed again... =_= Hmph. Also my Aion icon in the NCsoft folder in Start Menu had disappeared (can't find any way to recreate it) and I read somewhere on the forums that some people experienced trouble updating the game if they launched the NCsoft launcher itself instead of using the Aion shortcut. Also when I started the game I noticed that my sliders (for landscape/object range) were no longer working! Now, I know they worked before, even in the login screen, because I twiddled with them after I originally installed the game to see how the trees and other objects faded in and out with different settings. ![]() So by this time (with some settings and shortcuts screwed up) I'd pretty much given up on the whole notion of an EU install, so I just wiped everything, ran a registry clean, and reinstalled the game from the ground up as I did the first time... I learned my lesson. No more fiddling with the install until Ayase says so. ![]() |

Mine just says Aion... But I installed it manually.
I finally got it working too. It appears Aion knew my video card was about dead. On wednesday (after trying a few more things), it completely died (I found a transistor on the bottom of my case...). So, I bought a new one and now I can see the login screen. I just have to find the patience now to wait for the next beta! |

Yeah, it'll just say "Aion" if the launcher is set to North America, and Aion (US) only when you set the launcher region to Europe. So if you're from the US, then you don't need to change anything.
![]() And uh yeah, bits falling off usually isn't a good sign, lol. |

But I had it set to Europe then "installed" it (as I had the client downloaded already). |

I need some help.
Aion is my first gaming experience... or at least, I am hoping it WILL be. Because I have a dear friend in Europe who is going to join, I bought the EU Beta Key so she could walk me through the experience when I tried it out and see if I would enjoy gaming. I got the Beta Key through Gamer's Loot. Took a while, but I seem to have sorted through the whole process there. However, when I try to input the key in the NCSoft Aion Create Game Account section I get this notice: "The game you are attempting to create is not allowed in your region." For me, playing with my friend is kinda the whole point, so if I can't find a way to join her servers and share the same version of the Aion world the game becomes much less attractive to me. Can you tell me how I should proceed? Should I just give up on Aion? Or is there a way for me to join my friend on the EU servers? |

i got 170KB/s download speed which has been downloading for a few hours now, and im nearly at 50% i could do with stopping the download now as i got work in the morning and need some sleep :P but i am a little worried that i will have to start downloading from the beginning and after reading the posts in this thread im not 100% sure that it will start from where it is now up to, can anybody confirm that the download will resume from where it was stopped, and is there a correct way to stop the download (pressing close on the download client). im from england but it is downloading the us version if that makes any difference thanks cant wait to play this game looks like it will kick *** me gedding excited nw ![]() |

To get around the account-creation-IP block you can try 2 things: - use a proxy with an EU-based IP address while adding the key and setting up the account - have your friend add the key for you (though obviously this would mean sharing account details temporarily, so be sure you trust him) Once you have it set up you 'should' be able to log into the EU servers (after selecting launcher region Europe). I cannot guarantee they won't add an IP block to the servers, as this still seems to be under discussion at NCsoft, but at least it's better to know now than at launch I guess? __________________ ![]() Forum Warrior
