But...that's September. And it's in Tokyo, which means we'll have to be lucky enough for some poor English-speaking schmo to stumble across NCsoft's Aion booth and take interest in it, and write about it. Otherwise, we'll be stuck staring at pretty pictures and moonspeak reviews.

We can....translate the non-English articles! Someone has to stumble upon the Aion booth and feel inclined to feed us. But I'm sure we'll get something out of it.

And about flying...it was inevitable. And I'm not upset about it. If we were to fly anywhere, anytime, someone would make it annoying, making me drive more nails into my skull.

SORRY to say that person that whining doesnt know anything about AIOn. when they said free flight long time ago I think its was one of teh reps that said there be serten area that wont allow it........to me its pretty cool that energy is drained from you as you fly it makes it more real

The Elyos is one of the central races embroiled in Aion’s endless struggle for power. Although they bear similarities to what we would refer to as angels, the background and history behind the Elyos is fundamentally different. Sharing the same origins with the Asmodians, the Elyos evolved into their current form, now prevalent as the superior race in Aion.
In the beginning, the Elyos and Asmodians were both a part of a sacred race in charge of protecting the Tower of Eternity. During the 1000-Year War the protectors were divided into two factions. Following the tragic destruction of the Tower, the two sides turned on one another, each blaming the other for the Tower’s demise, and they became bitter enemies… The two races are now sworn to eternal retribution, consumed by a burning hatred and desire to exact their revenge.

On one hand, the Elyos can be comforting, with a warm, friendly manner. Against foes however, no such trace of warmth or benevolence can be found. Beneath their beautiful, angelic wings, they carry great strength that belies their graceful facade.
Under the control of Azariel, the inhabitants of the Elyos kingdom of Elysea, whilst resolute in their crusade against the Asmodians, must also remain alert against the Balaur who watch vigilantly for a chance to attack.

One last thing NcSoft never lied or promised anything they said stuff will change when the game gets closer to Beta, its just that you dont know how to look up stuff and you only read a lil info over AION, so its not our fualt you dont know anything about the game

I think people got way to hung up on the Christian concept of angels and demons back when we had nothing but very sketchy and often poor translations available. Whether its angels and demons or toasters and blenders, the underlying gameplay is still the same. Does it really matter if they call one side G.I. Joe and the other side COBRA as long as the game is enjoyable and the mechanics are still the same? A rose by any other name...?

i knew and didnt mind not being able to fly everywhere but i dont like the "wings being on a timer" if thats the case seriously i wouldnt want to play this, i can fly for as long as i want in wow..yes without combat in air etc but if aion has 2 minute wings in which u can fight in the air, whats the point ?
