In an article posted around January I believe, the beta will likely start some time between March 10-20. That's just a rough gestimate.

We'll thanks for the info, at least it suggusts strongly that the 2nd CBT will be this month. I can't wait to see what the new character creator looks like! and new videos would be nice.

Sooo I have a few questions here that I want to be sure of

1) Will you be able to use hotkeys like the numbers 1-9 for your attacks?

2) Armor, I've seen in like every video that the armor is always looking like its a completed set, uhhh you are going to be able to equip a variety of items together that aren't part of the set right? Also there aren't going to be sets for like every 5 levels is there? Or sets at all?

3) Player shops, how is this going to work out??? Every game that I played that had player owned shops was HORRIBLE!!! It was usually lag hell because you'd have hundreds to thousands of people maybe in one spot having a shop set up, and you'd just enter that area and ZOMG I CANT MOVE!!!!! LAGZ!!! Also the games that did have player shops that I played you would be able to switch servers so there was like one major server for your player shops, and since that is not possible in Aion which is good There'd be alot more people in one spot... Also I don't exactly know why this is in the game if there are Auctions...

And thats it, if you can tell me about these, thx ^^

1. Sure
2. Similar to other MMOs, theres a bunch of clothes/armor you can wear, you can combine them any way you want.
3. There will be personal shops as well as auction house, still not much info about them.

Yes. You'll be able to bind any key to any action.

There are single non-set-items and set items. As for the customization, you'll be able to transfer item-texture x to item y and so on. So it looks like that there are only sets in this game, but this isn't true. But a complete set looks the best

We don't know much yet. But player shops AND auction houses are implemented in the game (maybe not yet, but in the retail version for sure).

What are the battlegrounds that are going to be in the game? Like a Pvp battleground or something besides the Abyss were its instanced and you won't lose Xp...

ya i been wondering about that to if aion will have battlegrounds i hope not. i think it will kinda ruin the abyss pvp like in wow theres no world pvp anymore just bg's. i hope they just keep it at the abyss.

there will be nothing like BG, and there'd better not be or i wont play aion lol.

there are arenas for fun, but they give no bonuses for winning.

In the ultimate FAQ it mentioned something about castles in the abyss. Will it be like lineage 2 where you have siege times / tax control.

Sieges will start few hours after capture and will be 24/7. No special time, simple - 24/7
