Harrison I have the same view ^^ With Aion planning to be one MMO I do plan on investing some time in, to be honest, I really don't worry about whether I play the CB or not. Yes, it'd be very fun, but by the time the game comes out you already know what to expect

I wouldn't mind being noob for a day or two in December or whenever the game releases and getting the full experience from a completed game~

Hey there my name is Jordy, im kinda waiting on Aion for a few months now

I'm gonna play it fulltime ^.^ BUT i always had some questions..
When its out im gonna do a 24hour RACE i know its sick (but cool

so I'll atleast get a good start, coz im kinda HOPING to get in the topguild of w/e and w/e =)

WHEN IS IT COMING OUT?!?! jkjk haha

You see you have alot of classes nd stuff
but i was wonderin eh,, can you be male/female in every class?
like a male wizard nd stuff?
coz on the pictures etc, i only see female wizards!!
and ermm The level cap on the closed beta is 50 right?
u got any idea what it is in the release?
And is there going to be something like: ARENA? on wow? with 2v2 or more,, ?? coz that really would be cool, from 2v2-5v5..

thats about it lol

release estimate q4 2008
no restriction of gender for classes
level cap on the first part beta (closed, korean) was 20, and will be like 35 during the 2nd part (still closed, and still korean). There will be 50 level at the release.
arena : yes, but just for fun, no rewards / ladder. Don't know the exact arena format.

The number may not be high for level cap but the grind to get there is pretty moderate. Will take about 3-4months for the average player

I totally agree with Sabre here.

Remember guys (the ones who want in CB) that usually after a Beta phase, all characters get wiped.

I mean yeah people play for fun, but if you're like me or a few others who don't mind waiting for the full experience, it's just a waste of time leveling and farming, etc~^^

I wonder if they'll wipe after open beta, I don't think they will.

Typically a company will not wipe after an OB unless there is a MAJOR exploit/hack/bug found. Which CB is supposed to take care of~ I wouldn't be worried about a wipe after OB.

Every beta I followed had a wipe before release. Beta is not meant to give some players an advantage, it's for balancing and eliminating the last bugs (and sometimes it's just a part of marketing...).

Exactly, plus NCsoft representative here also said there will a wipe (most likely).

there is no advantage in beta...its just getting to start early...if its an open beta...anyone can play. I just want to know 100% for sure if its wiped or not, I dont care either way.
