WTF is wrong with the word filter?

Seriously, wtf is wrong with the word filter, it seems like it has become even more malfuntional since the last beta.

The word "lick" is censored, so when you try to type "Click", it shows as "C****".

"Was supposed" is also censored. So if you type "I was supposed to", it becomes "I w****uposed to".

On the other hand, words such as "v@gina", "pu$$y", etc, are not censored. I have even seen this character with the name "NiceV@gina" walking around (@ is normal letter "a" in game).

Last beta's word filter was bad enough, but in this beta they have made it even worse.

To be honest this is downright the worst word filter I have ever seen in a game, even worse than some F2P beta mmo.

Very disappointing NCwest, very, very disappointing.

Well, that is why we are beta testing it right? So these things don't occur on release.

This is no excuse for such abysmal work.

Anyone with a logic of a 10 yrs old would know what words should be censored and what shouldn't.

And the word filter should be improved from the first beta, not worsened.

Midnight was fairly rational for a while. Looks like the advent of another beta phase means he needs to find something else to complain about /=

Well, I am a software developer myself and know how painful it is to code and make changes to code. So again. I'm sure this and many other things will get fixed. Have Fun

Have you seen male Aion characters?

Everyone has a vagin@ in Aion, it really doesn't matter.

Lots of games have wierd word filters.

Microsoft, Sale and many other normal words are filtered in LOTRO.

I can see why the filter picked up was supposed, even though it is silly

I think they just need to code in so it picks up @ being substituted.

If the game needs drastic improvements on its core mechanics, there should always be complaints.

Unlike you, many people have standards for their products.

There's having standards, and nitpicking every last thing you can find and posting it on fan forums just to complain. If these are really such core rupturing issues, inform the beta forums where they'll actually be looked at. Someone must save the millions of others playing the game that apparently are being cripplingly inconvinienced and don't even know it.

I like having mine on, if nothing else, it provides entertainment when easily exciteable people rage, with hours of fun playing "fill in the blanks and have a conversation based round that"...which usually leads to a screen full of rage induced xxxxxx

The word fun is censored too which I found kinda funny. I know why, because "fu" can be said otherwise but cmon ... thats a little much. Specially since there are so many other words that are not censored, as the OP stated
