Apart from that, GW requires more skill that any other MMO i've seen this far since gear is not a factor. Only thing that matters is actually your skill.

Just because a game isn't built around instances doesn't mean organized pvp doesn't take place. And how would you know GW requires more skill if you haven't played both? All GW requires that other games don't is the knowledge of maps, beyond that it's pretty basic -- assuming the person playing isn't retarded.

Don't get me wrong, GW is right up there in pvp games for me -- but it doesn't compare to the non-forgiving pvp mechanics daoc has. Anybody can get decent in GW in a short amount of time, to be able to compete in DAoC 8v8 is a completely different story.

The only reason it isn't well known like fps matches, wow arena, and gw gvg is because of the fact it isn't instance based. The 8v8 scene was created by competitive guilds, not the devs. The teams were so good at one point where zergs of 30+ players would by all means try and AVOID these teams because the game gave you the means to win with skill, not bs.

Wow I didn't expect a poll like this. Good one, but you did miss a few major ones for me at least. Shadowbane, I played that for a very long time as did many. Heck I think many are still playing on the free servers. I will admit I also played Sims Online, mostly because I was randomly selected to beta test (not something I signed up for). But hey it was fun for a little while lol.

I played more games then I selected, but I decided since I did not like them, or did not play them long I would leave them out.

I like this poll above all, but sadly I think some took it as a joke and were not honest when replying

Played WoW for a couple of months till I got my NE Rogue to 68-69? But got really really bored

Went back to playing iRO(Ragnarokonline) really fun game for what it had; I miss my Champ and Stalker ;_;

Also played some Linage II for a little bit and City of Heros... and now Im patiently waiting for Aion

Played RO but as soon as I had several maxed toons I just got .. bored.
That and too much champs/SinX's running around for it to be fun anymore.
Played a little Rappalz but lost interest pretty quickly in it, dunno why.
Then made a move to Fail of the New World ehm I mean Sword of the New World.
That was the most amazing blackout of common sense I have ever had ... trust me on that ....
Then CBT for Aion started and I was saved

So much better.
Although we do have some bashers/flamers that just want to tear up mothers opinions I see a lot more maturity here

WoW: 1 year and 6 months (till BC)
AoC: 1 month
Vanguard: 2 months
WAR: 3 months
DDO: 1 month
