Check your Aion directory which should be 13GB once you have succesfully installed it.

So if we pre-ordered and got a "serial code" being the beta key, and the 48hour headstart is tied to it, the code that comes with the box is useless since we have a digital download of the game?

and how will billing work for the headstart, will pre-order people get early chance to sign up as a monthly subscriber?

What one did you d/l? All the people who have installed from that link have got the BETA client which is currently 7.8G, even though the game says it needs 15G for the full version (which it's not yet)...

Maybe repair just does the same as -image on the gw client and installs the extra hidden files... Because I have run both beta's fine with my 7G client!

My boyfriend and I, and my two friends (Goose and Pepper) all downloaded the EU version and for all of us it unpacked to 14.5 Gigs. For all of us too, the first download only grabbed 5-6 Gigs then the repair obtained an additional 8-9 Gigs. There's a whole discussion about this happening to other people around the forums too, so although it seems inconsistent, it does happen.

This is a screen cap of the EU client folder, which shows the size:

Unless I'm being blond....it says 14.5 Gb.

The pre-ordercode is ONLY good for the headstart. Once thats over (maybe including a grace period), your account will be inactive and you have to put in a retail code, which gives you your first free 30 days.

oh so the whole 2day head start wont stay? i figured we get 2 day head start to level and all that and we can continue it when all the servers go live,.. wtfack!

No word on billing yet.

The code in the box is needed to actually get a retail account you cannot continue playing on your beta key account when the grace period is over so you will need to add that key in your box to your Ncsoft account when it arrives.

The Discs in the box will probably not be of any use to you immediately as you already will have a digital d/l yes.

It stays till the servers go live yes but you need to add your retail key to the same account that your beta key is tied to in order to 'upgrade' it to a retail account.

Once you have added your retail key you will be able to continue with your head start characters!

You get a 2 days early start (or 5 if you are European). You can be level 20+ before the non-preorder people come in

Gains made during headstart are permanent. Toons made during headstart are here to stay, etc ,etc
