You know, if all customers had an attitude like this, things would never evolve because developers would get no constructive feedback.

Luckily, some people care enough to want the games they like to improve, they don't just ditch things when a flaw pops up and blame the developers for not being psychic and knowing about it.

This guy is ********ing. You can't even get 50 on either version and most of his information is extremely inaccurate.

I would not listen nor respect a review made by some one on a game that has not even been officially released in our region yet.

Reviews of mmorpg games on Beta stages should not even be considered.

Heck I would go as far as saying reviews on mmorpg games made in the first year of release are not to be fully trusted.

Reviewing Vanguard when it came out, and Vanguard now for example would yield much different results.

Unlike normal games mmorpg's usually get better as time passes. (Excluding SWG)

did anyone else think it actually sounded kinda sweet when he was complaining and said- "then at level 25-30 you get thrown into this black hole with rocks floating around and it's a violent kill or be killed world"?

The only thing that truly does worry me is the character customization beyond physical traits. Coming from Ragnarok, I'm used to have people making characters with wacky builds just for the sake of fun or originality and it certainly added an extra layer of depth to the game. RO's skill & stats systems were Great imo (perhaps the only thing worth recuperating from that game :P).

Designed to be pvp centric? Maybe, but the documentation on Aiononline.com says otherwise:

Its supposed to be both .

I personally like the pick the talent system seen in many mmo's - adds a sense of you never know what you are encountering in pvp. From what I understand Stigma system isn't really class defining (like Shaman's in WoW - Elemental=DPS, Restoration=Healing).
and plz tell how wow isnt kills this or gather this?? last i looked it was

Oh well.. seriously? The reviewer has some communication skills but let alone that, the review is ******** from the beginning all the way down to the end. First of all, like a lot of people pointed out, it's a review from version 1.0 ( which had pratically no PvE end-game content ) and secondly, the guy has no idea of what he's talking about. He probably just read a couple posts, made an imaginary life-version of it in his head and believed it. Then he posted his fake opinions from his fake life on a forum, you posted it here and voila !

I can't take his review seriously. He Plays C-Aion. Now let me explain to you guys what C-Aion is.

C-Aion is the bastard step child of Aion, It's abused, no on likes it. It gets no love and attention and in turn becomes a homicidal maniac that is a monstrosity of its former self.

1.1 1.2 and 1.3 Change the game so drastically that talking about Aion in its beta stage, before actually entering the abyss ect. Is just a total lolfest. People who review the game in a negitive light before it comes out truly aren't looking to what revisions have been made. If C-Aion was all that Aion actually was, Yes it would be a mediocre game, But ffs the damn thing runs on the Beta client. If he even looked ahead to the patch notes that were supposed to be already in place, I'm positive his problems would have already been addressed.

I personally made a review for C-Aion And I gave it an excellent score, I would have had plenty of bad things to say, Had I not known about the 2 patches ahead that were already supposed to be implemented, on top of the fact that I played in China, which made latency absolutely horrid.

This Review is fail.

And... "Certain classes can even take on groups of 5 or more other players, all 5-10 levels higher and still win." Are you ****ing serious? /killyourself

"Let me start off by saying that I have played the Chinese Beta and Official release as well as the North American Beta. I heard the hype, I was right there with it and I thought this game was it. After playing it from 1 to 50 that opinion was changed, however. The game is very smooth, it runs very well, has beautiful graphics and animations, as well as a very easy to use and clean HUD. Combat controls are also very easy to pickup and the combat is very fluid.... Leveling is very slow and very grindy. You can tell this was imported from an asian market. Almost every quest in the game is a go and kill, or a go and gather quest..."

Sounds like a bunch of lies by someone who absorbed all the Aion-C 1.0 forum grief and bundled it up. Or a paranoid, viral Activision-Blizzard poster. So he plays the Chinese 1.0 Official Release from 1-50 apparently, right? Then he makes the observation, "Leveling is very slow and very grindy. You can tell this was imported from an asian market." So that Chinese version he played from 1-50, he could "tell it was imported from an asian market" huh? Wow, brilliant.
Way to blow your cover.

And -

"Once you make one character and take it to max level, you will have seen the entire game. You won't even see new content if you reroll as the other race."
Yeah, right.

"There is no endgame content. There are no instances, raids, guild cities, or citadel battles as of yet."
If he touched the game past 1.0...

"Almost every quest in the game is a go and kill, or a go and gather quest."

Good. Since the days of Phantasy Star and Final Fantasy 1, this is what I like to do in RPGs: get quests to go and kill stuff. I don't expect the game to have my babies. I level my characters and kill stuff. People act like the RPG genre itself hasn't included "mob grinding" since its inception. All RPGs let you grind mobs for basic statistical and level increase, whether they're on/offline RPGs. Or even pen and paper. And Aion's 'grind' is totally enjoyable.

Guess your opinion on constructive is misguided.

Thats right, I also forgot to note he was obviously lying. Level cap in C-Aion to this day is still 45. Lol what a lying sack of ****.

Theres no end game! I played the Chinese beta AND the release AND the NA beta and I dont even know that China is still on 1.0! i didnt read the patch notes! THIS GAME SUCKS ANYWAYS! Thats pretty much what I got from this guy.

I knew more about the game than he does now, before I played the game at all.

And just how do you know what my opinion on constructive is? I didn't say this article was valid or good, check out my post on page one. All I said is that your attitude "never complain" is a very (for lack of a better word) stupid one.
