I agree but NcSoft usually gives some offers like 12 months = 11.95$/month

noway it will be 30$ a month thats just silly <_<

Or maybe they meant you can buy the boxed version for 60$ and get 2 months free or something...

I don't see why people whine over monthly fee's, I know a lot of ppl who go "omg wow is so expensive bla bla"... ye really expensive, l2farm.

I mean first off that's nothing, second if you got the money is it really that bad to spend 15 buck on something that will keep you entertained for a whole month?

In Korean mmorpgs monthly fees help pay for updates. Lineage 2 is now in C5 or going into C5 and you don't have to buy any expansions at all because its covered in your monthly fee. It also pays for the server maintainence as well as recoding to fix bugs, glitches, exploits. GM service isn't free either. So you're paying for a good game to stay a good game and to become even better through updates.

Yeh theres alot goes into you monthly fee.

I have no problem paying an amount for a game I deem worthy of a monthly fee. I dont consider WoW to be worth like £9 a month though. My friends do, however even upto like £15 I would deem worthy for this game it it all goes as good as its going.

Well actualy if it's anything like NCsoft does ,it will be the same time card price as L2 or CoV or CoH cause you can buy a CoV time card and use it for L2 time. thus the price will prolly be the same for all the NCsoft payable games.

that would be cool :P

Guildwars sucks...My opinion...but honestly that game can't really be considered much of an MMO....

Hmm... 60 EUR / 2 months = $76.80 USD at current exchange rates...

While I would personally pay $38.40 / month for a game that I really liked, I don't really want to play in a completely empty world which is exactly what would happen if they tried to charge that much.

A higher price probably caters to a slightly older demographic but that demographic is only so large. They'll want larger appeal than just age group X with income Y, assuming they want a slice of the MMO population that Blizzard has and to do that, they need to be competative with other offerings on the market. This becomes escpecially important down the road when that hot new MMO that had twice the features at half the cost comes along - they won't want to drive their membership away.

Also, don't forget that a lot of gamers purchase multiple accounts, too, so it's not like they have to charge that much money per person to meet whatever financial projections they're making. I owned 3 FFXI accounts simultaneously, once upon a time.

Until the official price plan is announced by NCsoft, it doesn't pay to speculate. Pay...price plan...get it? Hmm...that's the best I've got. They can't all be gems.

Don't forget that GuildWars is almost fully instanced except for towns. In Aion we will be able to get out of town and see other players fighting monsters without having to group with them.

Aion will be mixed a bit like WoW. That for it-self deserves a monthly fee.

i'd pay no more than $20 a month, and that would be pushing it.

i think that updates alone make a game worth paying for, and i hope aion will have constant updates

Good god.....there is no Fkn way i would pay 60 euro a month or even three months.....
my excahnge rate. 60 euro = $117.49 NZD. i could go start 3 L2 accounts for 3 months each for that.

this has to be false. if it aint then aion isnt even gunna get 100000 players.
they certainly wont be getting my business.

average MMO sub. price is 14.99/month USD. going much higher than that would be shooting themselves in the foot. it may be a great game, but anything substantially higher would deter a lot of people.

Maybe NCsoft thought he was asking how much they would pay him for employment? Thats always a possibility too. 40/mo? kthxbai =)
