This is an amazing review, it really gives me a good idea of what to expect from this game. Thanks

Aion doesn't have secrets, riddles and mysteries? What about those random items dropped off mobs that gave you quests and old stories and lores?

I personally loved retracing the steps of the storybook legend "the thief and the axe", esp as most of the time you have to rely on your knowledge of the geography of Aion, as the quest doesn't really tell you where to go, and even when you arrive it gives you mutliple choice answers that you can only answer correctly if you have read all the clues leading you there!

Well I know it has some mysteries, but the world overall (the map and lands you can traverse) feels very... linear and not mysterious or epic from what i've experienced. In FFXI I played for something like 5 years and there are zones near beginner towns that have areas in them i've never even seen. It was just massive and all over the place were mysteries and things to explore.

I do love the lore, stories, and setting of Aion. I guess I just wish the zones were much more massive and not so based on traversing a path and hitting the iterative outposts along those paths.
