I played my Asmo glad to 18, and I didn't really ever run out of quests. The way I did it was pretty much as Yang said, with a little more focus.
I would grab every available quest in an area, and then go do ALL of them and only return when they were done. I avoided mobs if possible, but attacked everything with aggro. I also didn't seem to have any problem at all doing quests even 3 levels or so above myself; it seemed like if I was high enough to get the quest I had no problem finishing it. Honestly, maybe I just looked in all the right places, but I had the OPPOSITE problem. I was leveling up faster than I could finish the quests for that particular level. I remember having like 15 quests flagged a few levels below me, and it's not like I wasn't focusing on them. __________________

I had the same issue where I ran out of quests around 12. I found however if you grind about half a level worth of XP as you are questing, it keeps pace until 20 (at time the beta ran out). Like someone said earlier in this thread, don't try to take shortcuts or count yourself fortunate if someone cleared an area before you arrived. You need to kill everything in your path to victory if you want to keep on target XP-wise.

I think I grinded out a half a level 2 times from 1-20 and both times it was just an opportune time. I was reaching a level where I was going to purchase new gear and needed manastones and cash for it so I farmed some mumu or wahtever gerbals were nearby and bam I had manastones for my new gearz.
At that those times the quests in my inventory were mostly a level or two above mine. Food for thought: 1.)In a beta most people dont bother spending time to craft if you do your going to grind mobs for mats anyway. 2.)Many people new to Aion are just that new and do not know all of the mechanics. The main one being enchanting. The funniest thing there I was in the mumu villiage grinding out 16 and farming manastones when a level 10 comes in and starts killing mobs quite easily so i inspected him and found out he had enchanted gear which I didnt even know about...or well forgot how that system worked since I havnt played Lineage in years. He had a few items enchanted to the max level 10 and he was doing fine. So in short learn the game before knocking it. There is a learning curve and until you get past it there will be times where you get stuck...oh noes i cant faceroll to level 50 what now :-/ I'm sorry that's a bit harsh and your trying to report an issue but honestly in the 1-20 there really isnt one especially if you grab another player nearby and /invite or get uber enchants. |

omg what the heck kind of advice i see people giving this guy.... sorry to say it dude but you did miss quests, it turns out that even if you died alot and finished the moslan forest quests and only hit lvl 12 1/2 there are still quests for you to do. (I bet you didn't try turning left exactly after you leave basfelt village heading to mosbear grounds? turns out there are low lvl quests around there ) anyways the first storyline quest in basfelt gives a considerable amount of exp. and don't forget to do the quests hidden in the potion shop and bar on the opposite side of Altgard fortress from the temple. and plus btw i lvled 3 characters past 12 i did all quests with my ranger and i was lvl 13 1/4 when i got to basfelt, i skipped about one or two quests with my SM and i was lvl 13 at Basfelt, and i did all quests with my Gladiator i died a few times and didn't buy back some experience cause i was poor and was 12 3/4 when i got to basfelt but i did a few low lvl quests plus that storyline quest i talked about and hit 13 no problem and the rest of the quests are keeping me on a good exp gain. despite what most of people are saying there is no freaking need for a grind. god people get it through your head the game isn't meant to grind through so stop convincing yourself it is, anyways back to the OP's problem, i skipped as much mobs as i could while doing these quests btw, i killed mobs only when it was necessary.
~that's all sorry for the text of wall but if you wanna get something from it you have to read its entirety |

I ran out of quests with seven bars to go to hit 13 so i grinded out the mossbears and once again ive ran out of quests and am about half way lv 14. I got some quests from Basfelt Village and did some but the rest are level 15. I didnt have a problem of running out of quests up to lv 12...

I have no understanding of how you have having so much trouble finding quests. I cant level fast enough, some of these quests give like 50k xp...its wonderful. As a sorc i have to kill /a lot/ of mobs just to keep myself alive though, maybe its different for other classes.

my asmodian cleric is 18.5 and i've had no problem finding quests. i only grinded twice and that was because i just wanted to lie in bed pressing 2 over and over while watching tv before i passed out in bed
honestly i think there's too many pointless quests that make you go from one NPC to another to another to another to finally get a quest to kill something... lots of wasteful travel time with no mount = boring. i think if i play the game when it really comes out i'm just gonna skip questing for the first 20 levels and jam number 2 over and over and over while watching tv half drunk it's certainly more fun than flying between all parts of altguard and then teleporting to pandemonium and back just to figure out i need to kill 2 things somewhere else ![]() i was kinda stuck today though because i only had a bunch of group quests left in altguard (the black guard guys who 2 shot me) and couldn't find a group who needed a cleric (who woulda thought nobody needed a healer eh?) so that kinda frustrated me. |

Try this for those of you saying you dont run out...
Once you get to Altgard, do all the quests there. No other mobs, no crafting, no gathering. You'll be at 11.3/4. (Largely dependent upon how many slink's and aaron's you need to kill to get that reward) Now of course you go out to the tiny little outpost. You'll gain a level and some change there and be around 12.6 (again, give or take a few decimal numbers, depending upon how many mobs for tog's especially) Here is where the gap occurs frankly. Why? Because Basfelt (spelling?) requires you to be 13 to unlock the majority of the quests. At 12, you'll have two, both missions, both high level. That is the gap everyone is talking about. Its better to grind out to 13, unlock majority of the quests, then do them all. (You'll still be two quests shy, but that will be enough to get you from 13->14 to unlock the rest) There is a similar gap @17/18 depending upon how many of the group quests you've completed. Elyos however, dont have that gap. (They do have a little one at 18/19ish..but not the 12ish one.. again, for Elyos it depends how much your in Krall country and if you did the Krall marks via watch towers (ez mode) or elites (exp mode)) Is it really a issue? No, but frankly some of the quests in that village should be lowered by a level. It makes no sense that at 13, you'd unlock 6+ quests. You should split them up between 12/13/14, as those are the level's you'll be doing at that village. |

perfect way to say it if most of you buffoons can't realize that even if you "run out" of quests by basfelt and still have those two mission quests just get a freaking group and do them, in fact dont even attempt that mau quest since you'll be killed by four star monsters just do the other one which should branch off into a quest leading you into a cave (which at lower lvls would require a group to do anyways because of the amount of pulls you could get) so just get yourself a buddy and go do it.
