Compare your last MMO with AION.

FFXI - fun for the 3-4 years while it lasted.. camping bosses for hours on end with the regular weekly schedule of other events..crazy grind fest, too much time needed, but excellent social community ^_^ ( hope FFXIV Online is going to be better ! )
WoW - fun for the 2 years or so, only thing that kept me hanging on longer was PvP, too easy and boring.

compared to AION;

Love it, can't really say too much now since it's still in CBT but thus far, everything is amazing. just hope that its not going to be that HUGE of a grind fest and that cities will be bustling in retail ^_^;..

they need to add more quests to this game so a player doesn't have to grind. in wow there is no grinding from 1-80

This game got alot of quests, some quests you need to move out from the citys to find
leveld 1 to 20 with only quests no grind at all. And picked up like 30 quests now before CB4 is released.
So more quests? dont really se why it's nessesary and this game isnt WoW.

MMOs i have played is Lineage2 then i moved over to World of warcraft played for about four and a half year
why i quited World of warcraft is becaus i totally loved the start in WoW pre tbc where awesome.
TBC where Okay but still a dissapointment, WOTLK where just **** nothing new at all except 10 levels
and the barbershop that didnt give anything new. The instances like Naxxramas where a dissapointment
they totally destroyed Naxxramas old one from pre tbc where the best instance ever made, and then
Blizzard just had to destroy it, and Uldular? yeah it was ok with the hardmodes but damn it was boring.
I dont know why but i played Uldular for 1 month then it feeled like each time you moved there you
needed to force yourself to do it, and the PVP is destroyed due to the ****** resilience.

Will gladly quit WoW for Aion and have allready frozen my World of warcraft account,
just waiting for the CB4 now ^__^

very limited you litterally saw clones of yourself everywhere | vs | very well laid out even has the option to choose how you -----------------------------------------------------------------------------want gears to look

Game's "fun" factor
Grind becomes tough at say "50%" of level cap but most | vs | havent lost any fun yet just SO much content
dislike at low levels too. End game content is controlled by
singular groups. quests almost end at lvl 18(30% of cap).
PvP at low levels is basically who has the most RL cash.
High lvl is well you dont even see anyone out there.

Game Management
Lets make it short. Submitted a ticket a month ago. Still no | vs | i submitted 2 tickets both were replied to within a few hours

For the most part most people only care for themselves and | vs | so far no one i met has been like this
if you were not in their best interest you were in there way

Type of Game
F2P = Item Mall = nuff said (plus you will find yourself -------| vs | P2P, economy is more controlled, no Daddy's credit card =
more money just to keep up in the game than a P2P --------------- power

Age of game
A year or 2 so its a lil bit harder to start out--------------------| vs | in beta means a fresh start so a great time to begin

My current games are Lotro and City of Heroes....I still love Lotro, but I feel in some ways that the devs are forgetting what made people love it in the first place and are going off the beaten track a little...so I was looking to Aion for something fresh and exciting again.

I've compared the two a few times in my blog, I've not played WoW and I know I never will so I can't compare those.

I played FFXI for about 4-5 years up until the release of WoTG but it was very slow paced the PvP was practically non-existent and it's strongest attribute was the community which was also it's biggest downfall. They've attempted to make it easier over the years with the introduction of new things to make leveling faster but all it's done is produce twice as many morons for the same amount of grind.

I then switched to WoW for about 2 years during TBC, joined a raiding guild and found it to be generally more enjoyable than FFXI until WotLK came out. It's such a terrible expansion that PvP is completely unplayable thanks to the stupidly imbalanced power of Death Knights and Paladins and the PvE is tedious, repetitive, slow and extremely frustrating.

I turned to GW looking for something to pass the time until Aion but I found the controls and restrictions in movement to be too unbearable to play past level 2.

I'm just sulking while putting up with WoW until I can get another taste of the next Aion beta.

WoW was my last MMO.
I got to lvl80 (Yay finally, I though) but it started getitng boring after a few hours. Running the same instance over and over again for emblems..
I haven't played Aion end game yet but I hope it will be different. + the PvP in Aion is much better.
